Alver Academy provides GCSE and A-Level science tuition and revision courses, designed to meet the individual needs of each student. With over half a decade of experience teaching in high-performing London schools, we support students atKey Stage 3, GCSE, and A-Level to build confidence, deepen understanding, and excel in exams.
We offer face-to-face tuition and online lessons, with availability during school holidays including Christmas and summer, providing flexibility for families throughout the academic year.

What is a science tutor?

What information should I provide to the science tutor before lessons commence?
You can obtain this information by contacting the Head of Science or your child’s science teacher and requesting details about the exam board, predicted grades, and any specific areas for development. Providing this information will enable the tutor to deliver a more tailored and effective tutoring plan.
How do I make payments?
- For in-person lessons, payment is accepted in cash or by bank transfer and may be made after each session.
- For online lessons, payment must be made by bank transfer only, either before or immediately after the session.

What is your cancellation policy?
You may reschedule your lesson through the student portal, subject to availability. Cancellations must take place 24 hours before the scheduled lesson. If you no longer wish to continue with lessons and would like to terminate your sessions, please contact the science tutor directly.
What is the student progress index (SPI)?
Student progress index measures how well students perform in a subject compared to other students nationally who had the same starting point (Key Stage 2 prior attainment).
